South Carolina Fetal Heartbeat Protection from Abortion Act (S0032/H3020)

This bill requires testing for a detectable fetal heartbeat before an abortion is performed and prohibit an abortion when a heartbeat is detected. The exception is when a condition that, in reasonable medical judgement, so complicates the medical condition of the pregnant woman that it necessitates the immediate abortion to avert her death.  This bills been introduced in both the House and Senate..
