The South Carolina Teen Dating Violence Prevention (S0305)

This bill defines necessary terms, creates the offense of teen dating violence, provides a penalty, allows victims to seek orders of protection or restraining orders under certain circumstances, and prohibits a person who violates the provisions of the section from participating in a pretrial intervention program. The bill also establishes requirements in the Health Education Act requiring inclusion of teen dating violence education requirements in the Health Education Act. This bill has been filed in the Senate only.
